The story of Levi starts all the way back in the year of nineteen ninety. In a hospital in a small town not too far away from LA there was a screaming baby boy, longing for the touch of his mother, or so one would assume. Instead of being given to his mother, the boy was taken to the room where all the babies are taken and never lay eyes on the woman who gave birth to him. Roughly a week after birth he was taken in by a loving family, at least that was what they wanted everyone to believe. Sure, they treated him nicely for a while and whenever anyone official came to check on them and little baby Levi, but after a few months they became a bit negligent and he was often sick, and this was when he was less than a year old. Imagine growing up with these people as parents, not a good thing. But he didn't grow up with them as parents, he was taken away from them when a surprise visit was made and they were in no way demonstrating how they were good for the child. He as out in the care of a foster family for the next seven years, this family actually looked after him and he was going great, making friends and being a sociable little thing, until tragedy struck the family and the adults died, leaving two children without parents. That's right, there was another child in the family, a girl. Levi had developed quite the friendship with her, they were siblings in their minds, mainly because Levi was far too young to understand that she wasn't actually his sister. They were separated and she was sent off to live with her aunt but he was sent to another family.
This family lived in LA and they were a bit rough around the edges, and rough to the side of the edges and rough on the inside too. He was scared when he first arrived at their home, it was a typical suburban home, nothing special but it was nice. They had the look of a loving family, but they weren't. As soon as the official people were gone they locked him in his room, they were after money and nothing more, they had two other children who were given free roam of the neighbourhood and who were incredibly mean to the young one. It's sad really to realise that this family had him for the next eight years and it was only the actions of Levi that caused it to come to an end. Over the years that he was living with them he was beaten, yelled at and treated like he was less than dirt. He kept his mouth shut because it was what he was told to do, no matter how many people asked he had only fallen, or walked into a door, or accidentally hit himself in the eye. When he was fifteen he told himself that he had simply had enough and ran away. They didn't look for him, they didn't care. He spent many nights out on the streets, dropped out of high school and lost a lot of friends, not that he really had a lot anyway. He turned to drugs and alcohol because what else does one do when they've run away from home and found themselves living on the streets? He was a real mess. With the help of some friends he found his feet and by the time he was nearing eighteen he had a job and was living with a friend, temporarily.
Over the past few years he has kicked his drug problem, but not the alcohol problem. He had found himself a better job than the one he had and has found a place of his own, renting of course. Over the past year he's been doing his best at college, he doesn't think that he's going to get anywhere with it, that he's going to fail eventually, but he's been doing rather well, so only time will tell. Really he's a bit hard on himself, but what else has he known, he grew up in the worst possible way (okay so maybe not the worst) everyone was hard on him so that's just what he's used to. He can be a bit of a dick at times, but really that's just him protecting himself, as you can imagine he's had to do a lot to look after himself over the years and showing people that side of him was one way to keep them away. He's not much of a people person, he loves his best friends who are few and far between, but people in general? ick. He cares an awful lot about people though, if he sees you feeling down he will care about that, but he won't do anything about it because he rarely actually goes out of his way for someone unless they are special to him, or one of those special people ask him to, because he'll do an awful lot for those people. It's best to leave him be really, leave him be in his alcoholic, depressed, hateful state. Yep.
