KENNEDY SMALL // 23 // THieF // HETEROSEXUAL // CRIMINAL // BETH RIESGRAF
The story of little miss Kennedy Small starts in a hospital in the city of Columbus, Ohio. She was born into a loving family, they were thrilled to have a daughter and judging by the grin that she wore through most of her childhood she was also thrilled to have them as her family. When she was a child she was a wonderful little thing, she was polite and she was kind to almost everyone she met, or at least that was what she was told, in fact she is still told that so she has decided that it is true. Even as a child she was not a people person, she didn't have a lot of friends, even though she was always so nice to everyone and those that she did have turned out to be something of a bad influence on her because when she was fourteen she found the immense thrill of stealing. Up until that point there was nothing of note happening in her life, it was boring and normal, when her 'friend' introduced her to the feeling she wanted more. She wanted to liven up her life, throw some jazz in there, spice it up just that little bit. And oh boy did she get what she wanted. She was busted not two weeks after her first thievery, she was let off with a warning but her parents were mad. She didn't think it was that big of a deal because it was just a candy bar. After that she cut herself off from them a little bit, not sharing as much with them and shutting herself in her room a lot of the time. It was around that time, when she was nearing the end of her fourteenth year, that her sister was born. At first she was jealous, she wasn't getting the attention that she once was, but then after she realised that she wasn't really caring about the attention anyway she loosened up a bit when it came to her baby sister. A few months after the little one was born the family moved to Los Angeles due to the father getting a promotion and needing to relocate for said promotion.
She didn't like the change, not at first. It was too different and she didn't know anyone and her anti-socialness didn't help her meet anyone. She was quite the loner during her last few years of school, dropping out when she was seventeen to pursue other things. Those other things were really just making it on her own by pickpocketing and other such small things, which oddly enough got her a decent amount of money. About two years ago, when she was twenty one, she was carrying out a job that involved a warehouse and some drugs that she was going to sell to a ready buyer, because she had honed her skills well and found herself a little into the business of stealing things and then selling them. She never had the good for long, usually she had a buyer waiting for her to retrieve them. She had scoped the place out beforehand, the night before and the night before that, but there was one thing that she wasn't counting on, an important member of the gang who owned the warehouse showed up and well, that was the end of that job. The buyer gave up on her and took his business elsewhere and someone was ordered to kill her. That was until the man who had screwed the whole thing up told them to stop, he said that she had skills that they could use and since then she's been employed by said gang.
Now, this isn't her ideal situation, but it was the best that she could do considering if she had refused she would have been shot right there and then. Her parents know nothing of what she does now, they never really did, and her sister knows nothing other than the gifts that Kennedy is able to get her here and there. She still sees her sister, and her parents, it's a bit awkward at times because well she doesn't know what to talk to them about, as far as they know she is in a good job that gets her a decent pay each week. She does everything that she's asked by the gang people, she's a little afraid for her life if she refuses them at all. She's also worried that being mixed up in the crap that she managed to get herself mixed up in will put her sister in danger, and she doesn't want anything to happen to her, ever.
